Open Question: Christians, when you say that the Bible was "inspired by God," what do you mean by that?

If I write an ode to the New York Yankees after seeing them play a great game, they "inspired" my poetry, but they shouldn't be assumed to approve of my work or be given any kind of author's credit. On the other hand, if I write an ode to the New York Yankees with the whole team looking over my shoulder, making suggestions, and approving the final text, then they should be given author's credit and their good opinion can be assumed.
